Has Councillor Gill Mitchell lost the common touch?Added: 1 July 2004 Councillor Gill Mitchell seems to have reservations as far as the general public go. First she ordered that all the chairs in the Hove Council chamber be removed for the meeting of the Environment Committee on the 29th January 2004, thus limiting public access (oh, and it risked bringing the Council into disrepute). Sadly her scopophobic condition worsened over the following months. She even ordered that the date and time be removed from the press release about the first public day of the Scrutiny Panel, for the specific and stated purpose of keeping the public out. We can only hope her health improves soon. Maybe an early retirement would be a graceful way to bow out ... Related Activites: |
