Council Leader Ken Bodfish backs down over 11 workers

Added: 21 June 2004

Following his 'resolute' stance declaring that the 11 binmen, suspended for taking unofficial industrial action, will not be reinstated, Council Leader Ken Bodfish seems to have done a u-turn.

In fact, the 11 will return to work, and our insiders tell us that poor old Councillor Bodfish is trying to enlist the help of everyone in the Council to help him save face. He doesn't quite put it that way though ... he sees it as saving the Council's face.
