Protest - Thursday 22nd January 2004

Added: 18 January 2004

We have a deputation before the full council on Thursday, 22nd January 2004 at Hove Town Hall at 3.45pm (NOT Brighton Town Hall).

We want a lovely big crowd of people for the press, and to show the council whose town this is! If you can make it we look forward to meeting you there!

Please tell friends and neighbours - get everyone you can. The council are scared - so much so, the Mayor, Jeanne Leaper has moved our motion away from the full council!

Also, in light of Gillian Marston's ignorant views on conservation areas, please invite anyone who is concerned about our history, heritage, and the beauty of many of the streets around us - all destroyed if CityClean and the council have their way!

We will have some banners there, but do make you own if you can. Contact us if you need assistance. Please also let us know if you need transport to the Town Hall if you are elderly or disabled, and we will try and sort something out for you.

We have produced a new poster to advertise this meeting (it looks great if printed on yellow paper!)

Poster is in Acrobat format. If you need Adobe Acrobat to open and print the file (it's free), you can download it by clicking here.

Please note: if, for example, you plan to print this picture, then laminate it and attach it to street lamps/parking notices in your area by means of cable ties to make sure everyone can get the message, we should inform you that such activity is illegal, and is not endorsed by brightonbeautiful.com.
